Hello loyal readers.
I’m writing today with an update to TheStockNovice newsletter. As this year’s market has steadily gone down, reader engagement has steadily gone up. This is especially true the last couple quarters of what has become a very tough environment. I get it. This is a stressful time, especially for growth investors. I want to swap thoughts with some trusted others as well right now.
As TheStockNovice has grown, so have the real-time requests I’ve received for 1) mid-month updates, 2) pre-earnings expectations, and 3) post-earnings thoughts in addition to the usual monthly recaps. To better meet this demand, I am launching the Strictly Business subscription tier bundling these requests. Strictly Business will not clutter your inbox. It will be smart, focused, and most of all pertinent. I’ll do the work so you don’t have to.
Below are the value-added services subscribers will receive on companies I follow:
On the 15th of each month, an update on recent news with any thesis changes (sample post here).
Prior to any earnings release, a targeted list of the key performance metrics and business narratives I'm watching (sample post here).
Within 48 hours of any report, a breakdown of the results with current thoughts on the business. This allows time to review both the release and conference call (sample post here).
In addition, subscriber-only comments will be open for discussion on any Strictly Business post. The service is $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.
Knowing what you own is vital in any market, and crowdsourcing is a powerful way to gain that knowledge. I’m grateful for the crowd here and excited to continue the conversation.
Feel free to send me any questions about this new service. As usual, thank you for your continued support.

Hi StockNovice,
I discovered Saul's Discussion Board in September 2020, where I was also introduced to your clear, concise and trustworthy commentary. I can't thank you enough for sharing your insights and experience on Saul's platform. I fully support your efforts to provide your new paid service. I will be subscribing.
I have a couple of questions about your service, but first, some context on why I pose these questions.
For years, I had been intensely searching online for TRUSTWORTHY sources of investing information. One where I could learn about the detailed investing process, particularly the analysis of company performance and their future expectations. And there it was (finally, after three years of digging), Saul's Knowledge Base, the monthly reports, and the daily analytical commentary from board members. I was ecstatic! What a gem!
My long journey to Saul's Board was a random walk through books, newsletters, and paid/unpaid investment services (i.e. Motley Fool, Seeking Alpha, etc). However, there are so many paid investment services on offer now (via Seeking Alpha authors, Twitter, etc), a person has to perform significant due diligence to ensure the service offered aligns with their expectations.
But Saul's board is different. It doesn't take long to realize which contributors are totally TRUSTWORTHY (Saul, you, Bear, GouchoRico and many others). Again, my deepest respect to all of you for freely sharing your investment experience and process. I believe Saul's Board is unique in the investment community, worldwide. It is, without doubt, one of the best investing "classrooms" ever created.
Which brings me to my questions;
1. Will you continue to contribute on Saul's Discussion Board, at the same level of detail and frequency? It would be great if you did, especially from an educational perspective. And it will serve as a platform for you to demonstrate that your paid service is TRUSTWORTHY.
2. I understand the paid service will provide subscribers with consistent and timely information, but will the service deliver additional insights not normally found on Saul's board (assuming your answer to Question 1 is "yes").
Thank you again for being a great supporter and contributor on Saul's Board. Collectively, all of you are hugely impacting people's lives (mine included) by opening the door to the mysterious world of successful investing.
As I learn and gain investing experience, someday I hope to reach a level where I am able to contribute thoughtful and useful commentary on Saul's Board, to pass it forward.
Best Regards,
Norris (Eaton)
